Castell Son Claret

We are part of the journey towards a better future for our island, our communities, and our culture - a journey that the entire team at Castell Son Claret is committed to continuing. One such way to hold ourselves accountable to our staff, our community and our guests is by attaining internationally recognised sustainability certification and we are very proud of of having reached the EarthCheck bronze benchmark in August 2023. EarthCheck is considered the leading certification program in the international tourism industry.

"At EarthCheck, we are committed to reducing and preventing the negative environmental, social and cultural impacts associated with our activities, products and services. We are committed to enriching local communities and protecting the planet for future generations. By informing and educating our employees, members and other stakeholders, we set the stage to protect our surrounding ecosystems and contribute to the continuous improvement of our planet."

We're excited to announce our partnership with the Mallorca-based ESMENT Foundation, which empowers individuals with functional diversity by providing employment skills. Since Spring 2023, the ESMENT team has led the Castell Garde projects, supplying us with fresh vegetables, herbs, and our own olive oil, while offering practical training and employment opportunities for its students.

Our commitment to Mallorca's cultural heritage is steadfast. The Kühne Foundation, founded by Castell Son Claret's owners, is a key supporter of the island's cultural vibrancy. With initiatives such as the Castell Classics concert series, we aim to democratize classical music enjoyment, ensuring Mallorca's rich heritage thrives for future generations.
In 2019, Castell Son Claret pledged to be the primary sponsor of the esteemed Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands for the ensuing 15 years. Additionally, Castell Son Claret is actively backing the construction of the Caixa De Musica concert hall in Palma. Upon its anticipated opening in summer 2024, the hotel intends to host an annual charity concert, with proceeds benefitting the local island community.
