As long as since the opening of “Castell Son Claret” in 2013 bringing the most talented soloists from Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers Project to the island for the first time the Castell Classics have become a tradition and a highlight on Mallorca ‘s summer events calendar for classical music aficionados and culinary lovers alike.

Our commitment to classical music and support of the local community is stronger than ever and I am delighted to share with you that Castell Son Claret has become the principal sponsor of the acclaimed Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands for the next 15 years. I am very pleased that can now offer our guests exclusive access to many performances and the opportunity to meet some of the top artists of the classical music world. In 2023, the opening of ‘La Caixa De Musica’, the future home of the Symphony Orchestra and Palma´s new and modern concert hall, will add a further dimension to our collaboration, as it brings with it the opportunity for many more musical moments for us all. The Kühne-Stiftung, a foundation established by the owners of Castell Son Claret, proudly supports this project and the many festivals we all have the opportunity to benefit from.

I am also happy to say that Castell Classics will return in 2021, reaching new heights with a star-filled program reflecting our continuous collaboration with the finest European music festivals and world-renowned artists. We will begin the 2021 Castell Classics series on 3rd June, when welcoming Teatro Maggio Fiorentino for their debut season with us. On 7th July, the president of the Salzburg Festival, Dr. Helga Rabl-Stadler, will present a select group of classical music’s future stars from the Young Singers Project as they perform their only concert outside of Salzburg this year. We will conclude our musical journey on the 11th August with an exclusive concert by young artists from The Hamburg State Opera, accompanied by musicians from the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands.”
