General Terms and Conditions
Guaranteed reservation
In order to guarantee a booking, the corresponding credit card details must be received prior to arrival. Unless it is for an arranged pre-payment or deposit, the credit card will not be charged before arrival. It is merely required to guarantee the rooms reservation.
Cancellation policy:
Individual reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to seven days before arrival. For cancellations between six and two days prior to arrival, the first night of stay will be charged as a cancellation fee. Cancellations made either the day before arrival, on the day itself, or a ‘No Show’ will incur the cost of the entire stay as a cancellation fee.
Summer policy:
Please note that we require a 50% deposit during the months of June, July and August to be paid by credit card or bank transfer, no later than 30 days prior to arrival, or on the day of booking if the arrival date is in less than 30 days. The reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival. The deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee when cancellations are made 30 to 8 days before arrival. Cancellations 7 days prior to arrival will incur a 90% fee of the entire stay as a cancellation fee. In case of a ‘No Show’, 100% of the entire stay will be charged as a cancellation fee.
Cancellation fees are non-refundable. An early departure fee of 100% of the remaining stay applies to guests checking out prior to their confirmed departure date.
Family arrangements:
Castell Son Claret welcomes families. However, as a country retreat, the Castell cannot be classed as a hotel with special features aimed at children. The majority of our guests highly value peaceful surroundings and a relaxing stay.
The hotel provides cots for infants up to 2 years (free of charge and available upon request) as well as extra beds for young children (€60 per day for children between the age of 3 and 12, and €100 from 13 years and above). A selection of our rooms in the Deluxe Rooms and Suites categories have adjoining rooms and sofa beds.
Restaurant Olivera offers a special children’s menu. Children aged 14 and above are welcome at Restaurant Zaranda and the Bellesa de Claret Spa and pool area. Upon request, the Bellesa de Claret can provide a selection of treatments for younger guests (4+ years) accompanied by their parents; tennis lessons, bike rental or garden games.
If you wish, we can also arrange a babysitter through a trusted external agency.
Cash-payment
Under Spanish law, it is not permitted to accept cash payments above € 2.500. This is applicable to all transactions involving at least one (other) entity. The limit for transactions involving foreigners who are not domiciled in Spain is € 15.000.
Group Bookings
Please contact to our Group and Event Department at events@castellsonclaret.com for requests for six or more rooms. With pleasure we will send you a personalized proposal adapted to your needs.
Dogs
Dogs and other pets are not allowed at Castell Son Claret, with the exception of guide dogs. We do not offer accommodation for dogs or other pets at Castell Son Claret.
Smoking
By law, smoking is not allowed inside any of Castell Son Claret’s suites, rooms and indoor spaces.
Parking
The hotel offers free outdoor valet parking. The hotel cannot be held responsible for any damage and parking is entirely at the owner’s risk.
Tourist Tax
In June 2016, the Government of Balearic Islands introduced a new tourist tax, “eco tasa”, which applies to all hotel guests. The amount currently amounts to €2,20 per person per night and is charged to the guest receipt upon check-out.

Internet Access
Wireless high speed internet access is offered throughout the Castell Son Claret estate free of charge. Please take note that the network is an open network and the hotel cannot take any responsibility for unlawful usage of this network.
E-car
There is a daily fee of € 20 for recharging electrical cars.
